On the move

Image

I haven’t got the faintest idea on how many people visit or have visited this blog, but I want to thank you for your attention. After having served me faithfully for over a year, it’s curtains for this blog. I finally have my own website, with a proper web address. You can view my work there in a higher resolution and in a lighter environment. Once again, thank you and I hope to see you on www.blueboost.nl

Over the border line.

I made this series of illustrations to serve as a decorative border on a certifictate. The certificate was a gift to a friend of mine, and they depict things we’ve experienced together. I only used black and cyan, one of my favorite colour combinations.

This is how I roll

One of my life goals is achieved! I’ve always wanted to design a skate board deck. So I gave myself the assignment to design one and have it produced. I had a friend of my adhere the grip tape (thank you, you know who you are) and now it’s up for sale!

Skin Deep

This guy was sitting in a bar in my home town. We sat, talked and drunk a while and I asked if I could photograph him ’cause I thought he had an expressive face. He agreed, and this is the result.

Word is bond.

Since my first name is Tommy and my dad used to call me Tommyboy ánd I’m a fan of old skool hip-hop formation House of Pain, you can well imagine I love the fact that their records came out on Tommy Boy Records. I wanted a new facebook avatar (and I change it a LOT), so I took the Tommy Boy logo and went away with it in Photoshop, with this as a result.

If you’d like to add me on facebook by the way, here’s my page:

Harrr!

I was working on an invition for a relation of mine, but I realised that it was to far out there, so I didn’t even bother to present it. I did want to share it with you though.

Pack it up, pack it in.

I was testing some flash methods and different undergrounds  for pack shots today, and I used two of my favourite material posessions as models. They have both lived with me for some time now -the glasses longer than the iPod- so I used photoshop to make them look brand new again.

And now for something more concrete.

This is my collection of pictures of what -in my opinon- defines the essence of the City of Rotterdam. This collection is ever growing and I aim to exhibit it, once it is substantial enough.

Open Wide

This is the first panorama picture I’ve done for a paying customer. It’s the Kop van Zuid area in Rotterdam, and it’s a photo merge of 12 individual takes. I used photoshop to stitch everything together. The picture is now hanging on the wall in my customers office, measuring 200 x 60 cm, plotted on high quality canvas in full resolution!

Aesthetic Malice

I have been drawing skulls since I was 7 years old and in my pirate-phase. And I have been doing so ever since. I always drew skulls by hand and just recently decided to do one digital.

A friend of mine was revising his Jackson Stealth EX Professional guitar and I offered to make a design for it. I was inspired by an article in National Geographic Magazine on the catacombs in Paris, stacked with skulls and bones, so I digitally drew a ‘pile’ of skulls to make a pattern. I made a Photoshop impression so he could see the result and it went into production shortly after. It has turned out great, thanks to my friends at The Letterfreak [www.letterfreak.nl].

These pics are made with a smartphone, so they’re not as sharp as you’d expect me to make ‘em. I intend to make a proper studio pic of the guitar once its completely finished!
